Got $10? Great, now you have a Parisian Chic essential! Except...it's not that simple.
I used to scoff at the idea of spending a lot of money on a tee shirt, until I found one marked down from $80 to $35, and I was hooked. With the right brand, there really is a difference in the weight, the cut, even the softness of the fabric. The funny thing is, whenever I'd wear cheapo plain white tee shirts I wouldn't get any comments, either negative or positive, but whenever I wore the expensive brand, I'd inevitably be asked where I got it from.
Obviously, price isn't the only indicator. I've seen tee shirts with designer labels that are poorly made, while the Men's white V-necks from Hanes can't be beat when you need a non-see through top.I'd say the same principle applies with tank tops. The book recommends buying them in black, gray, white and navy---colors that are easy to find on sale.
