The Webster

posted by Jo Frances on May 19, 2012 8:35 am

It never fails! I post about buying for quality and not price, but the next day I notice that Target has released it's "The Webster" line. Which is adorable and perfect for summer. Ironic, no? Perhaps I should write about taking vacations in the South of France just to see if any cheap vacations packages to Hawaii come up!

Anyway, The Webster is a Miami-area boutique, so unlike previous collaborations, this line isn't influenced by a specific designer. I think it's more of a collection of the types of items sold in the store, and the banana leaf pattern is taken from the store's decor.

Ally McBeal flashback

Remember this look??

I have to admit, I had a pair of Nick and Nora pajamas myself (blue cloud pattern of course). Now it looks like the same brand is at Target and still as cute as ever:

Save the Date: September 13

posted by Jo Frances on September 4, 2011 5:08 pm

Here is THE collaboration I've been waiting for: Target and Missoni. The 400 piece collection is supposed to hit the stores and online on September 13th, but judging by the already intense buzz on fashion blogs, the stores may sell out that day.

To help you prepare (!) the photo above is from the Target lookbook collection; while the one below is a way to get an idea of what the original looks and costs like.

Target collaborations are not always successful. Sometimes the quality is so poor that it all but announces, "cheap imitation!" while other times the influence of the designer seems practically non-existent. But if these pictures are any indication, the Missoni collection should be worth waiting for.
