I'm really trying to stop wearing hoodies. I know they look juvenile, and that they make me look like a wanna-be extra in a hip hop video---I know all this. Yet somehow, when the weekend comes around, I find myself digging out my old gray sweatshirt from the back of the closet. Just for around the house, I tell myself. Next thing you know, I'm doing errands and I catch sight of myself in a store window looking like the shorter, non-athletic version of my teenage son. Not good.

There's nothing wrong with fleece, or being comfortable, or just being warm. Maybe I just need to make a few adjustments in color, or length, or style. Or maybe I could just stop buying weekend clothes from stores that sell fishing rods.
