Every summer for the past three years, I keep rediscovering a beige silk blazer in the back of my closet. The jacket is one of those finds that make going to stores like Loehmann's worthwhile----a designer brand at 80% off, in my size, with nothing off about it in style or color. But each Fall, I put that jacket away having only worn it once or twice. I now realize that as classic as this jacket is, I have nothing to match it with! My dress pants are made of heavier weight fabrics, and my summer weight pants are too casual. With pants like these, though, I'll be able to repurpose the jacket into a lightweight summer "suit".

Choose a tailored crop pant that tapers towards the ankle and wear it with a feminine blouse, or add dressy details like a scarf. Pair with flats, and you've got an outfit that can transition from Spring to Summer.
