OK, I know these women are models. But for those of us who want to develop our own style, seeing how models put together their own outfits is worth a closer look.

Another figure-friendly trend is the long jacket, or cardi-coat. Lighter than a winter coat, the cardi-coat can be worn indoors and out. It's a quick way to update a sheath dress or a low-risk way to try dressy shorts and sheer garments. The ideal proportion is for the coat and dress to be the same length.

The 70s are back in a big way this Spring: maxi dresses, full cut trousers...and halter tops. This style is a good way to show a little bit of skin, and is great for an evening look. For the over 40 woman who is fuller on top, a strapless support bra is a must. Keep accessories simple and minimal----a bracelet is all you would need to complete this look.
When did working out get so complicated? Back in the days when it was still called "gym class" a simple tee and a pair of ratty shorts were all we needed to run around a track.
Now, deciding what to wear becomes more complicated, especially when it's a social event and not just a way to exercise. "Let's go for a hike" or "Do you golf?" when asked by someone we want to impress requires a resounding Yes! Here's to looking the part...
