All it takes is one...

One signature piece, that is. Take this Vanessa Bruno skirt. It's $195 (originally priced at $560), which is admittedly a lot for a skirt. But it's obviously so well made and, yes, expensive looking that it will instantly elevate anything else you wear with it.

As much as I love finding bargains at Target, there are times I have to remind myself that quality does show. Spending a lot is no guarantee of finding well made clothes, but it certainly improves the odds.

I agree - I love Target, and Old Navy for that matter, and they are great for trendy, wear just one season types of clothes. But, the quality just isn't there, and you can tell the difference. You do truly get what you pay for.

For me, it's that immediate gratification---it's so much more fun to walk around the mall and buy a $25 Old Navy sundress than to stay home and save for the Tory Burch tunic. Sad
