I don't know if I've posted about this before, but I've been looking for the "perfect" denim shirt for the longest time. A denim blue top pairs so well with black capris, white boot leg pants and a khaki skirt. But like Goldilocks, nothing was just right. Either the fabric was too thick and made me look like a 70s trucker, or the shade wasn't the right blue, or the style was too junior.
Recently, I got into an elevator and did a double take when I saw a young woman wearing gray skinny jeans and...the denim shirt of my dreams. Now, I don't often speak to strangers, let alone gasp, grab their elbow and yell, "oh my god, I love your shirt! Where did you get it???" But desperate times---well, you know the rest.
Anyway, before she exited on the very next floor, I found out that her blouse came from Banana Republic, and here it is:
